INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING THE MAIL-IN BALLOT
2013 CUSTODIAL CHAPTER ELECTIONS
- Mark your BALLOT by putting an X in the appropriate BOX next to the name of the candidate you are voting for.
- Fold and place the marked (or unmarked) BALLOT inside the larger (ballot) compartment of the enclosed pre-stamped manila envelope. DO NOT write anything on this envelope.
- DO NOT cross out your return address on the pre-stamped manila envelope as it serves as the official voting list. When your BALLOT is received, the sealed ballot (larger) compartment will be SEPARATED from the portion of the pre-stamped manila envelope with your name, and then your sealed secret BALLOT will be mixed with others in the appropriate election box. This process will insure that no one will know how you voted.
- Your completed BALLOT must be returned to Local 1315 via US Mail, using the pre-stamped manila envelope provided.
- Your completed BALLOT must be postmarked by the US Postal Service no later than Tuesday, Monday, May 13, 2013, and received by Local 1315 (in Post Office Box 1048) no later than 5:00 PM on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Any BALLOT not postmarked or received by the dates/time listed above will not be counted.
- BALLOTs will be counted at the IUE-CWA Union Hall located at 789 Tyler St in Pittsfield, MA on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 commencing at 4:30 PM.
OTHER IMPORTANT ELECTION INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW
- All officers are elected for a one (1) year term ending in 2014.
- Elected Chapter Chairs are automatically Vice-Presidents of Local 1315.
- Nominees and Write-Ins MUST have the box checked next to their names to be elected.
- Write-Ins can decline their vote.
- A Write-In can be disqualified by the Election Committee for membership requirements.
- You may leave an election BOX blank for any office. Even if you DO NOT vote please return your BALLOT to Local 1315 via US Mail in the pre-stamped manila envelope provided.
